Description:
Magic mushrooms are wild or cultivated mushrooms that contain one or both of two psychoactive ingredients; psilocybin and psilocin
Small mushrooms, usually brown in color
The "Liberty Cap" mushroom pictured below is the most common out of the psychadelic mushrooms, as well as one of the most potent ones out there.
Uses:
Often prepared by drying, then mixed into food or drinks
Some people eat freshly picked mushrooms
Short Term Effects:
Slight mood changes
Large quantities can cause stomach pain, nausea, and shivering
Hallucinations
Long Term Effects:
Flashbacks which can either be pleasant or nightmarish
Delusions
Permanently altered perspective of the world
Fun Facts:
A "trip" usually lasts about 4 hours
Mushroom experiences defer from person to person
People can accidentaly eat the wrong kind of mushroom and die
